At SafeALUMNI, we recognize that road traffic accidents are a global crisis, causing immeasurable pain and suffering in communities worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, over 1.2 million lives are tragically lost each year, with an additional 50 million people suffering injuries as a result of road accidents. These numbers are alarmingly on the rise in many countries. Without immediate action, it is projected that by 2030, road traffic accidents will become the fifth leading cause of death globally, claiming the lives of approximately 2.4 million individuals annually. Currently, the figures are rising, while many other accidents are unrecorded, calling for necessary action.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote a safer Lagos, where drivers, riders and road users are protected from fatalities, injuries, and property damage, and where individuals and communities are protected from harm and injury.

Ambition

Our ambition is to build a need-oriented safety advocacy venture that will educate 40 road users (drivers, riders, and pedestrians) on the prevention of road traffic accidents in Ojodu Berger Lagos state by the end of September 2023
